A "Note" from Debbie & Dan Monroe

To all of our talented singers and amazing parents, as summer starts to wind down, we still have a few more summer shows and festivals coming up! Blue Eyed Baker shows, the Erie County Fair, coffee houses, Taste of Ellicottville, retirement shows, anthems, workshops, and Music Is Art are all ahead.

There are a few changes coming up this month with our coaches, and we are excited for a couple of new coaches coming on board. We can assure you they are a perfect fit for our studio. More exciting news is coming, too.

We want to wish Sydney Sterlace the best of luck in her exciting college years. We know she will go on to do great things. She said she will be back often to teach some of her students who will be missing her during her absence.

Bello Singers in the Spotlight

If you would like to be in our “Spotlight,” just let us know who, what, where, when, and why. We will try to make sure you get added to our Spotlight Section.

Hardcore Happening in LeRoy, NY

On August 1st at 1:00 pm, Coralyn Comerford sang the National Anthem for Hardcore Happening in LeRoy, NY. Such an honor for her.

Clarence Idol

On August 3rd from 4:30–6:30 pm, Avery Handley will compete as one of 11 finalists in Clarence Idol. This is so exciting. If you are in the area, please stop by and root for our girl. She has a great chance of taking this title. Best of luck, Avery.

Hamburg Brewing Company

On August 12th from 7:00–9:30 pm, Scarlett Schultz and Beau Barnard will sing with 3 Creeks at Hamburg Brewing Company.

Erie County Fair Grandstand

On Saturday, August 15th at 6:00 pm, Jade Divine, who won the anthem contest for the Erie County Fair, will perform at the Grandstand. Jade will open for Phil Vassar, Joe Nichols, and Mark Wills. We are SO proud of her. Such an honor.

Erie County Fair Flag Ceremony

On August 16th, our Bello Bella’s will sing at the Erie County Fair Flag Ceremony. Over the past several years, the Fair has displayed a beautiful large-scale American flag in the Creative Arts Building. This year, the flag is being relocated to a permanent home in the Historical Building, and the Fair will host a dedication ceremony to mark the occasion on Sunday, August 16th at 3:30 pm.

Bello Merch

We now have new stock of our short-sleeve Bello t-shirts, long-sleeved t-shirts, and hoodies. Studio shirts must be worn at all outdoor shows.

Taste of Ellicottville

The Taste of Ellicottville 2026 takes place on Saturday, August 8th and Sunday, August 9th, from 12:00–4:00 pm each day, with pre-festivities and lodging options starting August 7th.

Local restaurants line Monroe and Washington Streets to offer outdoor, café-style food and drink tastings. We will be at Mill Street Sports Pub from 2:00–4:00 pm on Saturday, August 8th.

Music Is Art Festival

The 24th annual Music Is Art Festival takes place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 11:00 am–11:00 pm at Terminal B at the Outer Harbor in Buffalo, New York.

Founded by Robby Takac of the Goo Goo Dolls, this massive community celebration is completely free and open to the public. We will be on stage from 2:00–4:00 pm, and MIA Idol will run from 4:00–6:00 pm.

Our JR Company, Bella’s, and A’Choired Taste will take the Main Stage at noon. This is so exciting.

Closings & Openings

We are OPEN the entire month of August.

We highly encourage our singers to continue lessons over the summer, as we have MANY summer shows and festivals.

Guitar Lesson Openings

Our Guitar Instructor Beau Barnard also has a couple of openings on Wednesdays and Thursdays if you want to learn to play.

Reminder Texts and Cancellation Policy

Please be advised of our reminder texts and cancellation policy below. Thank you so much.

We send out 24-hour courtesy lesson reminder texts the day before lessons. Please remember that these are sent only as a courtesy. You do not need to respond. If you receive a text or do not receive a text, you are still responsible for payment.

Please give 24-hour notice if you must cancel a lesson. Otherwise, you are STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYMENT for that lesson. If you need to cancel your lesson the day before, it MUST be before 6:00 pm so your coach has time to find someone else who may want that time slot.

We still pay our coaches for that time slot, so please make sure you are aware of our cancellation policy. Thank you for your understanding.

Rehearsals This Month

JR Company

JR Company, ages 8–13, rehearsals will be August 4th and August 18th at 6:00 pm. We are working on our Music Is Art songs.

Bello Bella’s

Bello Bella’s rehearsal this month will be August 11th and August 25th from 8:00–9:00 pm. This group is invite only, $10/week, and has a strict attendance policy. Ages 13 and up.

Both JR Company and Bella’s groups meet bi-weekly on Tuesdays.

Erie County Fair Flag Ceremony

Shows and Events Coming Up in 2026

Bello gear is now required at ALL performances except big shows. Please make sure you have yours.

August 4th, 7:00–8:00 pm – Tuesday rehearsal. A’Choired Taste Rehearsal. This group is working for Music Is Art.
August 6th, 4:30–6:30 pm – East Aurora Blue-Eyed Baker Featured Singer Event. Invited singers only.
August 8th, 2:00–4:00 pm – Taste of Ellicottville at Mill Street Sports Grill. Invite only. Please inquire if interested in this.
August 13th, 6:00–7:30 pm – A’Choired Taste Rehearsal. This group is working for summer shows and festivals.
August 16th, 12:00–1:30 pm – Erie County Fair, Tops Avenue of Flags Stage. Invite only due to time. JR’s, Bella’s, and invited singers.
August 16th, 3:30 pm – Bella’s Anthem in the Historical Building. Also, 3 soloists will sing patriotic songs for this show.
August 20th, 7:00 pm – Fox Run Concert Series Event. Standards only, please. One Fox Run Lane, Orchard Park.
August 27th, 6:00–7:30 pm – A’Choired Taste Rehearsal. This group is working for summer shows and festivals.
September 12th, 2:00–6:00 pm – Music Is Art at the Outer Harbor. There will also be an MIA Idol Voice Competition at 4:00 pm.
September 18th – Wegmans Café Summer Show, McKinley Pkwy. Come on out and sing with us.
September 26th, 2:00–3:00 pm – Eden Heights of West Seneca, 3030 Clinton St, West Seneca, NY 14224. Standards, please.
October 25th – Halloween Show at The Stage. Time TBA. Please put this on your calendar.

Studio Notes

The Green Room / second waiting area is available for parents and siblings, and we have free popcorn, too. We encourage our singers to come and use our free practice rooms.

Please keep checking our Facebook Silent Group Chat for more details and new information about shows. If you have not been added to this chat, just ask your coach and we will see to it that you are added. It is important that everyone is on our Facebook Silent Group Chat. It is a silent group chat so that no one is inundated with notifications.

Lesson Pricing and Payments

All lessons are $65/hour for vocal, guitar, piano, and recordings for all coaches and engineer Dan Monroe at our Abbott Road location.

Payments can be made in the form of cash or check made out to Bello Studios.

From time to time, our instructors need to get away on vacation or may be sick. This does not mean your lessons will not go on as scheduled. You will love our other coaches.

Studio Dress Code

We would like to remind everyone of our studio dress code. When performing, you are representing Bello Voice Studio.

Shorts should be at least fingertip length, just like in school, and no shorter than a 4-inch inseam. Pants should not have excessive rips.
Please wear your Bello t-shirts at all shows unless specified otherwise. You are welcome to modify them to fit your style, but they should not be cropped. Major shows will not require studio gear unless requested.
Shoes should be casual formal. No flip-flops or worn-out sneakers. Nice sandals are encouraged during the summer months.

Support the Music That’s Changing Lives

Dear Prospective Supporters,

We are very excited that Bello Voice Studio is continuing to branch out and sing at more places than ever before—at least three times a month. We’ve now included nursing homes, veterans' hospitals, and specialty organizations to bring music to new communities and brighten the lives of those we meet.

At the same time, we’re giving our students the opportunity to sing in public and become more comfortable performing in front of an audience. It helps build confidence, and these days, that kind of self-assurance and healing through music is more important than ever. This is our mission at the studio.

We love making people happy—and in doing that, we’re kindly asking for your support. Your donation will help us purchase much-needed equipment like upgraded microphones and a new portable sound system for our shows and travel performances.

As you know, music plays a powerful role in all of our lives. For children especially, it helps them understand lyrics, connect with the emotions of a song, and learn how to express those emotions in their own way. Performing can be intimidating—especially when you’re standing on a stage by yourself. Our goal is to help singers of all ages feel confident and joyful when performing for others.

While we do our best to stay on the cutting edge, our current travel equipment has seen a lot of use and wear. Our portable sound system is especially outdated, and we’re now in urgent need of an upgrade to match the quality of our students' talent and performances. The cost is high—but the impact is worth it.

To help raise funds, we’re holding a huge All Access Showcase at Orchard Park High School on June 23rd and 24th, complete with a 50/50 raffle and auction. We would be incredibly grateful if your business would consider supporting us with a monetary donation, gift card, or item to include in our raffle.
